Broken camera :(

So I thought I might tell everyone my digital camera has broken.
After a short time my lovely Nikon 5700 has died**...
Well i think it's a problem with the chip or something.
Anyway that means no-more arty farty photos from me until i get another one... or I master my SLR.
Anyway my original plan was to sell my camzel and buy a Canon EOS 400D.. but alas now I can't even do that.
Fixing my camera is probably gonna cost more than what it's actually worth at this point in time so yeah.
** when I turn it on my lcd screen is black, it displays everything but the screen is black.. and when I take a photo it's black.. so it's like the shutter
